Water flossing is an alternative oral health care treatment method that can clean your teeth. It is often compared to dental floss because of its ability to remove food particles and residue from between teeth. A water floss however, uses a device that sprays gushes of water at teeth to wash away the debris.

Water flossers are highly recommended forms of oral health care for your teeth, and some brands and products have even been awarded the ADA Seal of Acceptance from the American Dental Association. They have even been clinically proven to effectively and safely remove plaque. Water flossers have also shown to be effective in the prevention of periodontal disease, also known as gum disease.
For some individuals, flossing by hand can be difficult or ineffective. Elderly people are much more likely to benefit from water flossers. In addition, people with dental treatments such as braces, dental bridges, dental crowns, and dentures should also consider switching to water flossers for their daily flossing habits.
